This beautiful, highly collectible hand-painted porcelain cup was produced by the M.S. Kuznetsov factory in Riga during the late 19th or early 20th century.

Crafted with a generous amount of porcelain, the cup features a remarkably solid foot. Despite its sturdy base, the cup walls remain beautifully translucent, allowing the elegant decor lines to show through when held up to the light.

Despite minor wear and tear, this cup is in excellent antique condition. The gilding, which was applied using genuine gold, shows partial wear; this is entirely typical for Kuznetsov porcelain, as the real gold accents were usually the first to fade with regular use.

The cup is adorned with hand-painted flowers in the classic Agashka style, which was highly characteristic of the era and region. The lower section features an elegant inscription gilded in Russian Cyrillic: “В ДЕНЬ АНГЕЛА" (translating to "On Your Angel’s Day" or "On Your Name Day").

Cup’s height: 7 cm

Cup’s width: 8 cm
