Beautiful hand-painted porcelain cup is produced by M.S. Kuznetsov in Riga in the end of 19th century / beginning of the 20th century.

You will not find another cup of this shape easily. There was generous amount of porcelain used for producing this cup and you can see a solid foot (image no 11), yet the cup’s walls are still translucent and decor lines are visible, when inspecting cup from inside against light (images no 7-9).

Cup is in the great antique condition. Gilding is partly worn, it was done from real gold and usually was the first to wear off on Kuznetsov’s porcelain in case of usage. 

Cup is decorated with the hand-painting of flowers in agashka style - typical for this time and region. On the lower part of cup there is gilded writing in Russian “В ДЕНЬ АНГЕЛА» ( “On The Day of Angel”).
